THIS IS ACID JAZZ…a new feature on MOJA Radio!

THIS IS ACID JAZZ…new feature on MOJA Radio! (

Listen for THIS IS ACID JAZZ four times each week, Tuesdays at 9 AM and again at 9 PM ET and twice on Sunday’s at 9 AM & 9 PM ET. In the 1980’s, when fusion had faded and the style known as contemporary jazz emerged to bring a more accessible, softer side of jazz to the forefront, a movement began in England that was inspired by American Jazz, Soul & Funk. It filled the clubs and concert halls with dancers and jazz lovers and it soon spread all over Europe, finally making its way back to the source, the good ol’ USA! From England came The Brand New Heavies, Ronny Jordan, The James Taylor Quartet and many more…from Europe came The New Cool Collective, Candy Dulfer and Mondo Grosso, then UFO from Japan and from the USA groups like Groove Collective, The Greyboy All-Stars, Liquid Soul and Brooklyn Funk Essentials. The trend morphed into many other styles but the affect still reverberates in jazz today.  Come get funky with us as we present THIS IS ACID JAZZ Tuesdays and Sundays only on MOJA Radio!
